Community Assistance Awards
Community Assistance Awards are designated to assist individuals and organizations for specific civic, educational or human service programs. We support initiatives designed and implemented by those who know their community’s needs best and leverage funds in a manner that does the most good. Eligible projects must address one of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Signature Program Initiatives.

Thrive
Recipients should be a full-time, sophomore or beyond, currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution or accepted if applying as a graduate student, minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrates community service and involvement, and have a financial gap in tuition and need assistance to move to the next level of their education or to graduate from college (graduating seniors). Capped at $1,000.

Launch
Recipients should be a full-time, sophomore or beyond, currently enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution or accepted if applying as a graduate student, minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrates community service and involvement, typically will not qualify for either merit-based or needs-based award, experiencing a financial shortfall and need support to pursue their education, and may also have success in athletic or artistic achievements and demonstrated leadership.

Youth Partners in Accessing Capital (Youth PAC)
Recipients should be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. sophomore or beyond, 3.0 GPA, and Demonstrate Exceptional Academic Achievement or Extreme Financial Need, Participate in Leadership, Volunteer, Civic or Campus Activities.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Leadership Scholarship
Howard University is the founding home of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. On January 15, 2023, as part of the 115th Anniversary, EAF made a $500K contribution to Howard University to fund the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Leadership Endowment Fund.
This year, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. celebrated 115 years of Service & Sisterhood. Take a moment today to remember our legacy to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards to be of “Service to All Mankind.”
Alice S. Marriott Scholarship Fund
Marriott International has partnered with Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. to grant scholarships for 2023. Since 2012, the scholarships are offered to students from traditionally underrepresented groups who are interested in careers in hospitality.
Alice S. Marriott had a personal philosophy of volunteerism remembered in the Alice S. Marriott Award for Community Service, an honor bestowed annually on a Marriott business unit that exemplifies the volunteer spirit.
