We provide need- and merit-based scholarships, fellowships, and endowments to undergraduate and graduate students of all backgrounds as well as funding for research and service organizations that help improve the quality of life.

Money for our awards and operations comes from a diverse array of private and public sources including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority members, corporate and government donors, non-profit partnerships, investment income and merchandise sales.

With a mission to “Promote Lifelong Learning,” AKA EAF believes that a self-sustaining funding model to provide educational opportunities is the surest way to empower individuals and communities.

AKA is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women with a rich and distinguished history of service that spans over a century.
